Worth of a Person

'How do you decide the worth of a person?' Never thought of this question until recently.When I asked myself this question that is when I realized that this question has very deep ramifications.Till date we had followed what others said,like ,'this person is not worth it' or 'that person is a worthy candidate'. But never really thought about this thing so deeply.

Frankly speaking, after giving this a thought ,it came to my conscience ,that who is a person to decide a person's worth? Either his/her own or for the matter of fact any other person's worth? Who are we to decide that? Who are we to say that I'm /You are not worth it? Or vice versa. Who gave us such great powers to decide a person's worth? 'NO ONE' . Then why have we so blindly followed other's words or made up our own minds ,both about self and others.

What answer I found from conscience is that ,Worth is a thing that is not decided ,it is a thing that has to be proved ,and not once but time and again. No one could bask in the glory of a thing he did some years ago(until and unless that thing had long duration repercussions).

An Engineer ,Who plans to build a building over a place covered with shanties, is worthier to his employer ,but what worth does he have in the minds of the slum dwellers? Similarly you do a good thing yesterday,you prove yourself and today you fail to do a thing.What worth do you have then,especially in your own eyes?

So my dear friends ,What I recognized is that, We should never undermine ourselves or consider that we are not worth it. Coz somewhere down the line you're gonna prove that you are more worthier than others,i.e. if you try. Rather go and prove this to people who have said so.So dont judge anyone,yourself or someone else form a thing or two. A person's worth is supposed to be proved everyday all through his/her life.
